Napoli name their price for Chelsea target Kalidou Koulibaly
Napoli are prepared to sell central defender Kalidou Koulibaly this summer amid interest from Chelsea and other Premier League clubs, according to reports.
The 26-year-old has been imperious at the back for Napoli this season, even scoring their late winning goal away to Juventus that has kept their Scudetto hopes alive.
He has frequently been linked with a move to the Premier League, with Chelsea boss Antonio Conte – a huge admirer of the powerful defender – trying to sign him last summer.
Although the Italian is likely to leave, Chelsea’s interest remains, and Corriere dello Sport report that Napoli will listen to offers.
They would prefer to sell abroad rather than to another Serie A rival, with any Italian clubs needing to start the bidding at €80million (£70.5m).
However, the price is not quite so steep for teams outside of Italy, with Napoli happy to sell Koulibaly if his €70m (£61.5m) release clause – which only applies to foreign teams – is met.
Chelsea have had significant issues at centre-back this season, with David Luiz injured for much of the year and Gary Cahill out of form, while Manchester United have also been linked with a move for the Senegal international.
