A year later going down to Serie B, Empoli achieves promotion to Serie A
The Empoli has achieved promotion to Serie A this Saturday thanks to a 1-1 draw against Novara on the 38th matchday. The club shared celebration pictures on their social media, where some players were seen in their underwear.

This point obtained at home against Novara, combined with the defeats of Palermo and Parma, also gives Empoli the Serie B champions title, with still four matches to play.
Another team will also go directly to Serie A. The third place is reserved to play a promotion match against the antepenultimate of the first division.
