Hundreds of PlayStation 4 users have reported that a new update has been released unexpectedly. It is update number 5.53-01, with very little weight to have something important. But... does it have?
It turns out that this update only weighs 69MB and, unlike other updates and patches, does not require us to restart our PS4 console. Although Sony has not specified what this update consists of, players have an idea of what it does.
The main suspicion is that these files will be updated to allow the PS4 to connect to certain online game servers. Another theory suggests that it would be a correction of system files for a recently discovered error.
