Clock starts ticking against PSG
It's time for PSG to figure out how to cover the deficit incurred in its Financial Fair Play in order to meet UEFA's expectations and avoid being sanctioned by the European governing body. Today, as Marca recalls, the UEFA Commission responsible for PSG's case is meeting and will draw conclusions regarding any financial irregularities committed by the Parisian club.
Gonçalo Guedes' future linked to PSG
PSG's future depends on a period in which they will have to be accountable for their squandering of millions and, in order to balance their books, they will be forced to inquire into sales, whether they are desired or not. According to Le Parisien, the club has reportedly reached a decision regarding the future of Gonçalo Guedes and has decided to sell him to Valencia for €40M.
Valencia welcomes Guedes' move
Valencia would welcome this decision with open arms, as pressure has been effective from all parties involved and also due to the good relationship between Peter Lim and PSG's president, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi. Al-Khelaïfi would only require an additional €10M from his previous investment when he bought the player from Benfica.
PSG opts for Guedes' transfer
With the fervent hope that this move is confirmed and Guedes becomes a Valencia player before June 30th, PSG has chosen this path due to the various difficulties posed by other operations involving their current squad members. The sale of these players would not meet UEFA's financial requirement before this date.
