Bucaramanga started playing well, but as the minutes passed, they began to decline in their game and ended up losing 2-1.

Playing a terrible game, Atlético Bucaramanga lost 2-1 to Boyacá Chicó last night in Tunja, a defeat that further complicates the few chances the 'Leopard' team has of advancing to the quarterfinals of the Liga Águila.

With nominal changes in the starting eleven, Lewis Ochoa, Alex Díaz, Juan Jiménez and Franco Arizala, Diego Cagna's team looked serious and secure at the start of the game, but as the minutes went by, the team became less and less effective.

Bucaramanga started dominating the actions and posed a threat in the areas defended by José Escobar, until in a counterattack, originated from a recovery by Bryan Rovira and passed to Jhon Pérez, he created the play to enable Michael Rangel, who scored a great goal to make it 1-0 on the scoreboard at 17’.

Bucaramanga had more chances to score, but failed to convert and ultimately paid the price for that lack of finishing.

And at the end of the first half, in the 41st minute, Daniel Duarte overcame the Bucaramanga defense and equalized the score to 1-1.

In the second half, perhaps due to the altitude, Bucaramanga slowed down, despite the entry of Sherman Cárdenas and Sergio Romero, they looked slow, tired against a rival that seemed more energetic.

And that difference in physical condition was evident in the final minutes of the game, as the Chicó players ran more and were more incisive, and ended up taking advantage of a defensive error by Bucaramanga, especially by Gabriel Gómez, who in his attempt to clear the ball, ended up giving a 'goal pass' to Misael Riascos, who with speed beat the goalkeeper Ojeda and gave the victory to the Boyacá team.
