The 'Canelo' Álvarez-Golovkin rematch is cancelled
The Mexican boxer Saúl 'Canelo' Álvarez has been in the eye of the storm in recent days, after testing positive for Clembuterol in two pre-fight antidoping exams with Gennady Golovkin. As a result, the rematch between the Mexican and Kazakh boxers has been cancelled.
Related to the above, the famous American rapper '50 cent' used his Instagram account to mock the Jalisco athlete.
"'Canelo' failed two drug tests and he's not going to face 'GGG', who I felt won the first fight, but didn't have to go out like that. His new name is 'Canelo Alvaroid's' for now, let's do this right," wrote the 42-year-old singer alongside a photograph of Saúl Álvarez.
The former Mexican world champion will have a hearing on April 18 with the Nevada Athletic Commission to resolve his alleged doping case.
