Three tournaments without qualifying are behind us
Jorge Dávalos, UdeG coach, congratulated his players for the victory and recognized the great work done by the youngsters.
"I highly value what the guys did, it was really a complicated match, we knew they had to win and we have a team with players of great football and human quality, in the case of experienced players. However, the concern was with the young ones, how they would face this match. They did quite well, they have the idea of wanting to transcend in the institution," he commented.
Their quarter-final opponent will be Atlante, a team they defeated in this tournament with a score of 3-0 in the regular phase, but the 'Viking' says that game is in the past and the Potros will play in a very different way.
"Atlante is a very good team, that game we won here is over, surely they will play differently at home and when they come to visit us, and we will also do the same, each game is different," he pointed out.
