FAIRBURN, Ga. - Crews are on the scene at a neighborhood on Chestnut Street after several homes saw extensive storm damage.
According to Fulton County Police, about 30 to 40 homes and numerous cars were damaged from the storm but fortunately no injuries have been reported.
The Red Cross has been called to assists residents:
"Red Cross volunteers are responding to calls for help resulting from home fires and storm damage overnight in metro Atlanta. We expect a busy day ahead as daylight approaches, increasing visibility in hard-hit areas. Currently, a team is on the ground in Fairburn where homes in the Jumpers Trail neighborhood suffered significant damage."
