2018 ST. LOUIS SUPERCROSS | COMPLETE COVERAGE
Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Racing rider Cooper Webb will not compete at the 2018 St. Louis Supercross, round eleven of the 2018 Monster Energy Supercross Series. Per our talks with the Yamaha team and then a post by Webb on Instagram, a midweek crash prior to the race in St. Louis left Webb with an injured shoulder. This then led to a crash in the Free Practice session, something that Webb said makes it clear that he should not race this evening.
With Webb on the sidelines, there will be no Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Racing bike on the track at all in St. Louis, because teammate Justin Barcia is still sidelined with a hand injury. Barcia is expected to return for the 2018 Seattle Supercross.
Just want to give everyone a heads up. I had a practice crash on Tuesday resulting in a shoulder injury/dislocation due to a freak bike problem out of anyone’s hands. I rehabbed all week to try to race today in St. Louis. Unfortunately my shoulder isn’t good enough to race today which resulted in a Free Practice crash in practice 1. Extremely bummed but I will do everything in my power to be back as soon as I can. I’d like to thank all my sponsors and fans for understanding. @yamahamotorusa @monsterenergy @thormxofficial @ride100percent @bell_powersports @alpinestars @toyotaescondido
