This Friday, the promotion exam for grades was applied at the College of the Americas, where 15 students were evaluated to advance in their training as athletes.
At 9:00 am, the work began in the presence of the Director of the institution, Ofelia Moreno Carrera, as well as parents who witnessed the progress their children have made in the practice of taekwondo, a workshop offered by the College as part of the education it provides to boys and girls.
The group in charge of Professor Eva Briones gave a demonstration of the movements characteristic of this discipline, coordination and execution, as well as a demonstration of breakings, which is one of the most emotional parts for parents.
She indicated that there are 15 students in charge of Professor Eva Briones, an instructor who offers this evening workshop every third day.
“Taekwondo motivates the students, it is a discipline that is applied as such, that our students like and proof of that is that we have had champions in different tournaments,” she said.
She mentioned that at the College they strive to use learning methodology based on the use of the latest generation technology and constant pedagogical innovation that allows optimizing the educational work of teachers to develop in students a multi-competent profile.
This representative team is in full preparation for the Multimedios Cup, where the dream of the little ones is to fight for the top places.
“We are preparing for the Multimedios Cup, it is a very attractive tournament due to its competitive level and everything it offers to the competitors. We will try to be in the fight for the top places,” the director commented.
