Chapu Nocioni enjoyed the touching tribute organized by Racing.

Andrés Nocioni deserves one thousand and one tributes. It is known: he is the heart of the Golden Generation, that basketball team that thrilled all Argentinians. Racing owed a tribute to the Chapu and it took place on Friday night: they named one of the sectors of the Sports Center after him. Why the recognition? Nocioni made his debut in the National League wearing the shirt of the Academy. One night in October 1995 at the Sports Center of the stadium and against Olimpia de Venado Tuerto, Andrés Nocioni began to write his own history, not only in Racing Club but in the whole world.

The President Víctor Blanco and the soccer players Lautaro Martínez, Brian Mansilla and Matías Zaracho participated in the event. The Bull, being from Bahía Blanca, is a basketball fan. A few days ago, his brother Jano made his debut in Villa Mitre at only 14 years old. Before the tribute, the top scorer of Racing showed that he also has accuracy to hit the hoop. The crowd, of course, applauded the 20-year-old forward.

The sports center was packed. "Olé, olé/Chapu/Chapu", came from all four sides. "It's a huge joy to have Chapu Nocioni here. We are grateful for his career and for having come out of Racing", said Blanco, who gave him a plaque and a jersey with the number 6, the same one he wore in his time at the team from Avellaneda. "Thank you very much to Racing and everyone who came here. It's always nice to receive love", said the Chapu.

After the event organized and planned by the press department, the attendees were able to watch the game between Racing and Caza y Pesca, for the 22nd round of the Federal Tournament.
