Led by Mexican Jonathan Paredes, current champion of Cliff Diving, 11 of the best athletes in the category will show Mexican fans what the discipline is all about in a public event, jumping from a platform placed 37 meters above an 8-meter deep pool next to the Estela de Luz.

"Jumping in Mexico City is a dream for everyone. Because of the diving culture that the country has. We are very motivated, it's a completely different experience," said Colombian Orlando Duque, pioneer of the discipline and who will also participate in tomorrow's free event for the public.

Jonathan Paredes explained that having the opportunity to perform in front of his people is one of the most gratifying feelings and the motivation to give his all in each dive.

"This is something that goes beyond what I could dream of. Performing here and being seen giving my best is much more than I could ask for. I'm super excited," said the Mexico City native who claimed the number one spot in the world's largest cliff diving series last year.

Regarding the water leaks in the pool, the organizers assured that they started working on the repairs throughout the afternoon and the reason for the leaks was that the thermosealer failed due to the rain that occurred at night.
