Note about Jorge Mora's injury

A new tough injury has arrived in Jorge Mora's career. The midfielder left the match against Murciélagos on Sunday due to injury, and on Monday, the player himself confirmed that it is a cruciate ligament rupture, which will require surgery on Wednesday and he will miss the remainder of the Clausura 2018.

"Today I am experiencing the most difficult stage of my career, once again I will undergo surgery for a cruciate ligament, I can't find explanations as to why, but what I do know is that I have to get back up because I want to continue playing what I love so much: soccer. Thanks to everyone for their good wishes JM10," shared the UdeG player on his Twitter account.

Due to the various injuries that Mora has suffered, he has struggled and has not shown the level that his coach, Jorge Dávalos, knows he has and has not been able to exploit.

"It is very regrettable that a player like him, with that talent, cannot be as he would like," commented the 'Viking' after the victory against Murciélagos.

In this tournament, Mora played eight matches, four of them as a starter, with two goals, for a total of 423 minutes; with the injury on Sunday, he now adds two injuries this semester, with the second one keeping him away from the field for several months.

But the bad news does not end there for UdeG, as the full-back Fidel Vázquez, who also left the match against Murciélagos due to injury, suffered a rupture of the patellar tendon and will also undergo surgery on Wednesday. Fidel played five matches, all of them as a starter, with no goals, for a total of 440 minutes.
