Through a statement, Atlético de Madrid informed the confirmation of the sale of two of their players to Asian football.

A new destination. Atlético de Madrid announced this Monday an agreement with the Dalian Yifang of the Chinese Super League for the transfer of Belgian Yannick Carrasco and Argentine Nicolás Gaitán. With this, the rumors of the departure of both players to the growing Asian league were confirmed.

It does not specify the amount of these two operations, but according to the Spanish press, Carrasco's transfer would have closed around 30 million euros, while Gaitán's transfer would have amounted to 18 million.

Both players had come to the Atlético training in the morning of this Monday to say goodbye to their teammates, according to Spanish newspapers. Gaitán, who arrived at the Spanish club from Benfica in the summer of 2016, has barely had opportunities in the red and white team, with which he has played 49 games in his year and a half in the club, in which he has scored four goals.

Carrasco, on the other hand, had more opportunities at Atlético under 'Cholo' Simeone, who took advantage of his speed and dribbling to reach the opposing goal. The Belgian winger arrived in the summer of 2015 and since then has played 124 matches with the red and white shirt, scoring 23 goals.

According to the sports newspaper Marca, the Chinese conglomerate Dalian Wanda, which sold its 17% stake in Atlético de Madrid in mid-February, could be about to acquire Dalian Yifang, coached by Spanish Juan Ramón López Caro.
