PYEONGCHANG -- Rigby's Jessika Jenson struggled to finish in the first-ever women's big air final at the Olympics, on Wednesday.
Jenson failed to land on each of her three runs in the finals. Judges gave Jenson a no score on Run 1, and 21.50 on Run 2, and a 19.00 on Run 3.
American Jamie Anderson won silver in the inaugural event, while top qualifier Anna Gasser of Austria picked up gold and New Zealander Zoi Sadowski-Synnott won bronze.

In the big air event, each rider is allowed to go three times. The total of each rider's two best scores count towards their overall score.
Jenson ended up finishing in 11th place in a field that featured 12 riders. She posted a score of 40.50 in Run 2 and 3 combined.

The 26-year-old barely snuck into the finals. Jenson finished 12th in the qualifying round on Sunday, and secured the last available spot in the finals.
Jenson is a two-time Olympian. She came in 13th in the women's slopestyle in Sochi in 2014, and fifth in the same last week in PyeongChang.
