Carlos Carvalhal has admitted he will forever be an Owl ahead of Swansea’s FA Cup tie with his former club Sheffield Wednesday.
The Swans travel to Hillsborough on Saturday with the Portuguese boss claiming it will feel like going home.
“I am an Owl and I will be an Owl forever,” he said.
“It is like when you have your house; you move, after two months you go back and it’s not your house anymore, but you still feel part of your house.
“I will feel like that because it is only a short time since I left the club. I am happy to go back because it does feel like I am going back home.”
Carvalhal left Wednesday struggling in 15th place in the Championship in December and was swiftly appointed Swansea boss.
But the Portuguese has has defended his record in the Steel City.
“I was there two years. After the second season when we got to the play-offs, it was the third best points total in 150 years of the history of the club,” Carvalhal said.
“We had one play-off final and one semi-final. They were unbelievable, emotional moments, that makes me think I belong and will be part of the club forever.”
