The lagoon team won with 5 goals against the emerald team, forward Djaniny scored a 'hat-trick' that positions him as the leading scorer.

Santos recovers from an early goal and with Djaniny Tavares' help has a great reaction to finish with a 5-1 victory against León, on Wednesday night at Estadio Corona, within Matchday 7 of Clausura 2018.

The Cape Verdean scored 3 goals to reach 10 in his tally, it is the second time he achieves a hat-trick in the tournament, as he had already done it against Lobos.

Only one minute of play had elapsed and Jonathan Orozco made the first mistake.

Javier Abella returned the ball to the goalkeeper on a throw-in, the Santos goalkeeper controlled it poorly and Mauro Boselli took advantage of it to steal the ball and calmly score to make it 0-1.

The fans criticized the goalkeeper's childish mistake, while his teammates tried to make up for the error in search of the equalizer, but the green and white defense was distracted and kept giving away balls in dangerous areas.

León was practical and with long passes looked for the defenders' backs, which opened up the game and important plays were made, like the one generated by Santos in the 12th minute, a solo run by Djaniny Tavares, who made a couple of feints to enter the area with clarity in front of Yarbrough, he shot with his left foot and the goalkeeper deflected it with one hand to avoid the equalizer.

The laguneros took control of the match and the esmeraldas waited a bit, they crossed the midfield and the action was transferred to the penalty areas.

The lagunero team reached 14 points while Club León stays with 10 units.

Minute 24 arrived, Santos with a free kick in favor outside the area, loaded to his right, Osvaldo Martínez took a chance, there were only two men in the wall and the Paraguayan took advantage of it to place the ball close to the left post, at medium height, to make the deserved 1-1 for the home team.

Santos maintained the initiative and did not take long to generate danger on León's goal.

Navarro committed a hard foul on Lozano, the referee didn't hesitate to call a penalty that was taken by Tavares to the bottom corner for the 2-1 in the 31st minute.

That's when Djaniny's concert began, who in the 34th minute made a masterful move.

Furch left him the ball and the Cape Verdean took it past four opponents, made a bicycle kick and a backheeled pass that went through Herrera's legs, and then, sensing the goalkeeper's exit, he chipped the ball over him to make it 3-1.

That inspiration from Tavares gave him the necessary boost to go for more, supported by his teammates, who understood the message and saw the opportunity to harm a rival who was on the ropes.

So came the 38th minute, a great play by Osvaldo Martínez who returned the ball to Isijara placing the through pass into the area from the right, where Jesús measured it and with his right foot he lifted a cross, Tavares arrived just in time to head it and make it 4-1.

The striker's second hat-trick of the tournament, reaching 10 goals scored in 7 matches.

La Fiera wanted to react as soon as the second half began, they pressed Santos from the start, but they were not accurate when passing the ball and Santos was the one who seemed dangerous with each attack.

Robert Dante Siboldi rested Djaniny in minute 62, giving Jonathan Rodríguez the opportunity, who scored the 5-1 in the 66th minute.

It was Isijara who dribbled through the center and passed it to the right for 'Cabecita', who took advantage of the loose marking to shoot across goal, the shot was slightly off target, but it still went in.

The rest of the match was a formality, Santos was closer to scoring a sixth goal than León to getting a second, and so the laguneros reach 14 points, temporarily sitting in second place. León remains with 10.
