She did not go to Pyeongchang 2018, but she did attract attention.
After not recovering in time from a knee injury and being left out of the Winter Olympics, German athlete Lisa Zimmermann decided to forget her depression, as she was one of the favorites to win a gold medal, and posed for a prestigious adult magazine.
The freestyle skier appeared in the German edition of Playboy and is the target of criticism for starring in very sexy images.
"She won't take part in South Korea, but everyone is talking about her," said the Sportbuzzer website, referring to the cover and the photo shoot that is causing such a stir.
Lisa started out in figure skating before moving on to skiing, where she is one of the leading exponents of a discipline that has only been in the Olympics since 2014.
"There came a point where I went crazy (because I couldn't compete). I had the need to move, but they wouldn't let me do anything, not even go ice skating or skiing. I couldn't go out with my friends either because of the tough recovery. I'm not the type of person who just goes out for coffee, if I go out, there has to be action," admitted the German athlete.
In her Instagram account, Zimmermann often shares videos to show off her skills on the slopes, although she also posted a nude photo taken in the pool while performing a balancing exercise.
