Porto becomes provisional leader of the Portuguese league
Porto became the provisional leader of the Portuguese league after defeating Braga 3-1 thanks to goals from Sérgio Oliveira, Diego Reyes, and Vincent Aboubakar.
The dragons took the lead in the 14th minute with a header from Oliveira, which Braga equalized 15 minutes later with a goal from Raúl Silva that hit the post before going in.
The tie was dissolved just eight minutes later, in the 39th minute, by Reyes. The Mexican defender rose in the area to connect a header that beat the opposing goalkeeper and left him with no chance.
Héctor Herrera also played the full 90 minutes and received a caution towards the end of the game, while 'Tecatito' Corona started and was substituted in the 64th minute.
The good pace of the first half continued into the second, in which goalkeeper José Sá made two impressive saves -Casillas remained on the bench- and a new goal was scored, this time by Cameroonian Vincent Aboubakar with a header in the 73rd minute.
With this result, Porto is the provisional leader with 52 points, followed by Benfica, who have 50 points after today's 5-1 victory over Rio Ave.
