Pep Guardiola gives his players a well-deserved break
The English teams have had little rest in recent months due to the marathon of matches they played during Christmas and Pep Guardiola has decided to give mandatory vacation to all his players. No player will be able to train in the City sports city and they will not have restrictions to travel wherever they want during the four days off they will enjoy from this Saturday until Wednesday.
"The gates of the sports city will be closed. The guys can travel and do whatever they want. They must forget a little about football, be with their families and friends and move on," said the Spanish coach before facing Burnley today.
The players have earned a good rest after the performance they have offered in recent weeks, in which they have achieved a 15-point lead over their pursuers, the neighbors of United. "On Wednesday afternoon we have to prepare here with three sessions to play against Leicester and Basel, but we all need to disconnect a little bit."
A break that not only the players deserve. "Not only the players need the break, the coaching staff, the physios, everyone... it has been a difficult period during the winter. We have the opportunity to take three or four days off and we give them."
