Dan Gilbert
The owner of theCleveland Cavaliersfranchise, is seriously considering selling the team. According to journalist Stephen A. Smith, the owner of the Cavs has been thinking about getting rid of the Ohio-based franchise since last summer, while it's still on the rise. It's not something he's going to do immediately, but in the coming years.
Following Smith's information, Gilbert could be considering this due to the team's poor performance in the current season, as well as the possibility of LeBron Jamesleaving the Cavs at the end of this season, thus leaving the Cleveland team without a star player.
Gilbert has been in charge of the Cavaliers for 13 years, since he bought the franchise in 2005 for $375 million. According to Forbes, its current value would be around $1.2 billion.
