Alberto del Rio denounced Hector Garcia, deputy director of sports in the Cuauhtemoc delegation, for threatening them to stop the 'Fight for them' event if he didn't give them tickets and recognition.

Alberto del Rio denounced Héctor García, sports deputy director in the Cuauhtémoc delegation, of asking for a bribe for the 'Fight for them' event, which took place on Saturday, January 20th and whose ticket sales were destined to help the children affected by the earthquake that took place on September 19th, 2017 in Mexico City.

Through a statement, the Mexican wrestler accused the official, his team, and some administrators of the Morelos Sports Center, located in Tepito and where the event took place, of demanding 250 additional tickets in addition to the complimentary ones that El Patrón provided them for the support they gave after the cancellation of the Moliere Theatre last November.

In response to Alberto del Rio's refusal, since "giving them those tickets would detract from the cause of helping the children" and because he stated that his family and friends paid for tickets in support of the affected children, Héctor García threatened to withdraw the support.

Despite the help of his inner circle, they managed to carry out the event. El Patrón accused that "magically the vehicle access was closed" towards the sports center after the conversation with the official, affecting fans and Dr. Wagner himself, one of the main participants of the event.

In the statement, the wrestler points out that when he approached Héctor García again to solve this issue, the official demanded recognition and that they dedicate a few words to him in the ring or threatened to boycott the event by turning off the lights in the venue, to which El Patrón refused.

The wrestler also mentioned that when the National Anthem was being sung by the wrestlers a capella, the official interrupted the ceremony.

Finally, he apologized to Mariana 'Barby' Juárez, the boxer who was invited to the event, as he did not know she was going to attend, as well as the other athletes invited by Héctor García, as he stated that no one told them they were going to attend, while inviting them to continue with the cause in support of the affected people.

So far, the Cuauhtémoc delegation has not issued any statement regarding this matter.
