JACKSONVILLE -- Leading up to Sunday's Divisional Round matchup, much attention has been given to Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, eager for another chance against the Jacksonville Jaguars defense to make up for his five-interception performance in October.

It was Roethlisberger's worst day of the season. It was also the best for running back Leonard Fournette.

Fournette ran for 181 yards and two touchdowns in the Jaguars' 30-9 victory at Heinz Field. The first touchdown came from 2 yards in the second quarter, and the second was a 90-yard run on his 28th and final carry. Fournette described those two plays as the best of his rookie campaign.

Why does a 2-yard run qualify? Because he received the handoff from Blake Bortles, leapt from the 5-yard line and landed inside the end zone.

The 90-yard touchdown came on the first play after the two-minute warning. Fournette attacked through the left guard side, reached open field, and just kept running. The NFL says Fournette reached a top speed of 22.05 miles per hour, the fastest any player has run with the ball in 2017.

There was another memorable play in that game: Fournette waving his hand at safety Mike Mitchell. The two had been engaged in a war of words throughout the game, and Fournette simply got tired of hearing it, so when he broke free from linebacker Bud Dupree on a fourth-quarter run to the right tackle, he looked for Mitchell.

Mitchell, at 6-foot-1 and 221 pounds, went low and Fournette, at 6-foot and 228 pounds, ran through the contact to finish with a gain of 12 yards. Mitchell immediately got up after the play and started celebrating. Fournette yelled some things, too.

Surprisingly, Fournette, who ran for 1,040 yards and nine touchdowns on the season, doesn't rank that play as one of his best as a rookie.

"I don't rank that," he explained. "Like I said, it's just competing, really. He's a great safety and I can't wait to face him again."

There's a good chance they will meet again on Sunday.
