Moments of anguish and panic were experienced in a square in Queretaro when 21-year-old bullfighter, Francisco Martinez, was attacked when the fifth bull of the afternoon hit him head-on, throwing him in the air and causing him to fall abruptly.
The reaction of the bandilleros was immediate, highlighting the action of his brother Felipe Martinez, who did not hesitate to jump into the ring to protect the unconscious young man with his body.
The action had double value, as in addition to risking himself for his brother's safety, Felipe received another full charge that was directed at the injured bullfighter; he immediately stood up and covered Francisco's body again.

"I didn't think about it, I was very worried because the blow had been terrible. The bandilleros removed the bull from him but suddenly it went after him again and I decided to protect him, so I waited for the blow," Felipe said to El Mundo.
To everyone's surprise, the bullfighter returned to the task and finished the work, managing to cut an ear; his brother ended up with a broken finger.
