Lewis Hamilton is the most famous Formula 1 driver on social media with more than 5.2 million followers on Instagram. However, this fame worked against him when he made a sexist comment to his four-year-old nephew.

"I'm so sad. Look at my nephew. Why are you wearing this dress for Christmas? Why did you ask for a princess dress for Christmas? Boys don't dress as princesses!", stated the Mercedes driver.

Although the four-time world champion quickly deleted the video, nearly one million people saw it. In response, he decided to apologize.

"I have realized that my words were inappropriate, that's why I deleted it. I didn't mean to harm and I didn't want to offend anyone at all. I love that my nephew feels free to express himself as we all should," said Lewis Hamilton.
