Sheikh Abdullah Al Thani Breaks Silence to Send a Message of Optimism to Málaga Fans

The President of Málaga took advantage of social media to wish Merry Christmas to Málaga fans and, at the same time, show his confidence once again in Míchel and the team. "Don't worry. Our coach and players will come back stronger," wrote Al Thani on Twitter.

The Club's Bet is Still to Keep Míchel in Charge Despite the Lack of Improvement

The team shows no signs of improvement, doesn't demonstrate a game plan, and presents poor numbers: 11 points out of a possible 51 and a goal difference of -18 (13 goals scored and 31 goals conceded).

The President and the Sports Director, Mario Husillos, still trust the coach and believe they can reverse the situation with the help of the signings that are about to join the project. Husillos sets the arrival of a midfielder and a forward of a certain level as a priority to elevate the team's quality. "The golden dream of Michel and the entire club is Sandro Ramirez, who is still not given playing time at Everton," Husillos expressed. However, the player's economic value and the large number of teams interested make his arrival more than complicated.

For the midfield, one of the most appealing options was Pape Diop. But the Senegalese has already signed for Eibar, which made a larger financial effort than Málaga was willing to assume for his incorporation.

In any case, both Míchel and the club are aware that the signings have to be in Málaga as soon as possible. The coach considers it essential that they start contributing right away. The situation is critical and they cannot let more matches go by. However, before making any other signings, Málaga must get rid of some players who are not in the plans (Gönen, Cecchini, Cifu, Jony...). With the arrivals of Ignasi Miquel and Iturra, the club already has the 25 spots for the first team complete.
