Feirense Continues to Stumble in Portugal
The Feirense team, where Mexican defender Antonio Briseño plays, continued to plummet in the Portuguese League, after losing in the last breath of the match 1-0 against Desportivo Aves.
Just when it seemed like the Fogaceiros would at least draw at Marcolino de Castro stadium, Argentinean Federico Falcone scored in the 90+1 minute to silence the home fans. Feirense ended the game with 10 players, due to Luis Machado's expulsion (69).
This goal proved to be the difference in the match, where overall the visitors were more incisive in their attack and unexpectedly found their reward to take home the victory in this 13th round of the Primeira Liga.
With this result, Feirense remains stuck with 11 points near the relegation zone, accumulating their sixth game without a win in the campaign across the Primeira Liga, Portuguese League Cup, and Portuguese Cup. Desportivo Aves, on the other hand, reached 13 points.
The Mexican defender "Pollo" Briseño stayed on the bench by technical decision of Nuno Santos. After being a starter in the last three matches and coming off the bench in one previous game.
Antonio is experiencing his first European adventure and has accumulated 407 minutes in the Portuguese league, receiving two yellow cards. He has also had playing time in the League Cup (180 minutes) and the Portuguese Cup (90).
