The technical director of the Delfín Sporting Club, Guillermo Sanguinetti, decided to take legal action against the statements made against him by Paul Velez, coach of Macará. In the match between both institutions (which finished 1-1), there were difficulties between the two benches, which led to the expulsion of both coaches and part of their coaching staff.
The Manabita team, through an official statement on its Twitter account, announced the decision of the Uruguayan coach. They also "support any action he takes" because they trust his qualities as a professional.
Paul Velez had stated for Radio Huancavilca: "Hitting a woman is more serious than touching a player, he (Sanguinetti) pushed our doctor and that attitude is that of a drunkard". (D)
