The last Wednesday, the resolution of the ADFP-SD was announced, where it was decided to punish those involved in the bribes during the development of the second division tournament of Peruvian soccer.
After the investigations, Fischer Guevara and Lee Andonayre were punished with a five-year suspension from any football-related activity, while Ryan Salazar was given a two-year suspension.
Regarding the latter, current Unión Huaral player, for many, his punishment was surprising because he was the one who reported the case to the Peruvian Football Federation.
Regarding this, the ADFP-SD resolution states the following:
In the audio, you can hear the player stating that if the incentive is to win, "welcome". He also mentions that a person from Sport Boys offered him an economic incentive. It is also important to mention that from the player's own statement, he states that he has never been involved in acts of this nature and that he has never accepted anything to harm his team; however, he also acknowledges that he was surprised by the result of the match since they had never received three goals in the first ten minutes.
It should be noted that from the analysis of Mr. Ryan Salazar's statement, it is clear that he was unaware that incentives in favor merit a punishment for promoting and engaging in an activity against fair play.
This Justice Commission considers it important not to overlook the statements of the player, Ryan Salazar, regarding the alleged money offered by Sport Boys, mentioned in his statement, given that Mr. Salazar states that he knows the identity of the caller and, under his constitutional right to remain silent, he reserves the right to mention it, which hinders the course of the investigation.
