In such an important scenario as the semi-finals of the Copa Sudamericana, this type of error should not be made and unfortunately a Peruvian was involved. Referee Víctor Hugo Carrillo validated a goal for Libertad with a handball by Óscar 'Tacuara' Cardozo.

The 'Gumarelo' striker controlled the ball with his hand and cleverly finished in the first minute, an action that wasn't noticed by Víctor Hugo Carrillo, the main referee, and the assistant referee Johnny Bossio, who could be involved in the most blatant mistake of the competition.

Libertad ultimately won 1-0 against Independiente in the first leg of the Copa Sudamericana semi-finals, while Flamengo and Junior de Barranquilla are in the other tie and will play on Thursday, November 23, at 6:45 pm (Peruvian time).

The second leg between 'El Rojo' and the team from Asunción will be on Tuesday, November 28, at 7:15 pm (Peruvian time).
