Justice League: this is how the cancelled Double Helix game would have been [VIDEO]

Lunes 13 de Noviembre del 2017

The Justice League had a video game on the way for its release years ago. However, along with the cancellation of the film, the development had to be put aside.

Famous Movies and Their Video Games

Since always, the most famous movies of cinema or science fiction have brought their own video games. However, if any of these releases were canceled, their playable projects were also canceled.

This is the case of Justice League Arcade, a 3D beat'em up game very similar to the current Injustice 2, but that presented a more open fighting game. In theory, this video game should have been released along with the movie Justice League Mortal, planned to be released in 2008 under the direction of George Miller.

Unfortunately, the movie and the game were forgotten when the project was canceled in 2009. Double Helix, the responsible for the development of the interactive game, tried to keep the development going, which was going to be released for PS3, Xbox 360, and PC, but it was in vain.

Although this game never saw the light, not all the work was lost, since different mechanics were reused in Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters, the video game that was released along with the movie sponsored by Ryan Reynolds.
