Charros Defeat Yaquis in Pitching Duel

Early in the game, the Jalisco team hit the Yaquis hard at the Sonora stadium. Tarasco's team showed patience at the plate and timely hitting in the top of the first inning.

With two outs in the top of the first inning, Amadeo Zazueta drew a walk, then Japhet Amador hit a double, and Stassi received a walk, loading the bases for the Charros. A wild pitch from Delgado brought home the first run, and Zazueta took advantage of an error to score easily from third base.

Octavio Acosta pitched the first four innings flawlessly, just like the Ciudad Obregón pitcher, who after his mistake, threw three important scoreless innings against the Charros' lineup.

In the top of the fifth, Alberto Carreón was left stranded on second base, and Amadeo Zazueta hit into a double play, dissipating the Charros' threat.

Both teams struggled at the plate and had a pitching duel in the seventh inning. The Charros held a slim lead.

The Bigotes failed to score in the top of the eighth, setting up an exciting finish in Sonora.

With a lot of effort, the Jalisco team got through the bottom of the eighth inning and were now three outs away from victory.

The Charros once again struggled to hit in the eighth consecutive inning, and Robert Stock took the mound to close out this pitching duel for the Charros.

With two strikeouts from Stock, the Charros secured the victory in the first game of the series. It was a pitching duel, and the team from Jalisco won the game thanks to a wild pitch in the top of the first inning.
