Jack Sock completes field for ATP Finals
American Jack Sock, ranked 22nd in the world, is the last player to join the exclusive list of eight players who will compete in the ATP Finals from November 12th to 19th, thanks to his victory in the final of the Paris Masters 1000.
Sock, who will participate in this competition for the first time, joins Spanish Rafael Nadal, Swiss Roger Federer, German Alexander Zverev, Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov, Austrian Dominic Thiem, and Croatian Marin Cilic.
Belgian David Goffin was also included in the list, who, like Sock, secured his spot in Paris. The tournament also saw potential contenders for the London ticket such as Spanish Pablo Carreño, American Sam Querrey, South African Kevin Anderson, Argentine Juan Martín Del Potro, Frenchmen Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Lucas Pouille, and American John Isner.
Sock entered the Bercy draw without even knowing that he had a chance to qualify for the Masters, as he admitted in an interview halfway through the tournament.
This Sunday, the 25-year-old Sock lifted the trophy at the Paris-Bercy indoor hard court, winning his first Masters 1000 title by defeating Serbian Filip Krajinovic, the surprise of the tournament, with a score of 5-7, 6-4, and 6-1 in one hour and 58 minutes.
