Racing drivers Sergio Pérez and Esteban Ocon play friendly soccer match in Mexico City
A few days before the start of the Mexican Grand Prix, Sergio Pérez and Esteban Ocon took a break from racing and played a friendly game of soccer in the capital. They showcased their skills with the ball, with 'Checo' scoring five goals and the Frenchman being aggressive on the wings. For this game, they temporarily became opponents, wearing different uniforms: blue and white, respectively.
The Sahara Force India team drivers participated in De la Pista a la Cancha, a fun match where they shared the changing room with players of the caliber of Edson Puch and Pablo Barrera, fellow professionals like Alfonso Celis Jr. and Pietro Fittipaldi - who compete in the Formula V8 3.5 series - and even wrestlers from the ring like Máscara Sagrada and Tinieblas Jr. The match was full of emotions and the score became secondary.
The low temperatures in the metropolis didn't pose a threat to the players or the gathered attendees, who had to be alert because there were no nets to prevent the balls from going out during aerial plays.
Laughs, intense shots, and harmony were the ingredients of this friendly duel, seasoned with a spectacular view of Mexico City, as the pitch was on a terrace.
On Sunday, October 29th, 'Checo' Pérez and Ocon will race at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez circuit in the Mexican Grand Prix, the antepenultimate stop of the 2017 Formula 1 season.
