Mexican shooter Alejandra Zavala finishes fourth at the Air Pistol Women's 10m Final
Alejandra Zavala, from Mexico, finished fourth in the women's Air Pistol 10m Final at the Shooting World Cup held in New Delhi today, ultimately conceding to Chinese shooter Zhang Mengxue who won the bronze.
Zavala started the final in a good position and surpassed the initial eliminations, but fell short of the battle for third place with a score of 198.7, just six tenths behind the third-place finisher.
French shooter Celia Goberville claimed the gold, while silver went to Chinese shooter Lin Yuemei and bronze to her compatriot Zhang.
The 33-year-old Mexican shooter previously won the gold at the 10m Air Pistol Final in the 2016 Shooting World Cup held in Bologna, Italy.
Zavala also participated in the 2012 London Olympics, finishing in 18th place, and the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics, where she finished fourth.
