Road to the Olympics still in Ubisoft's plans for Nintendo Switch
Steep is one of the games that Ubisoft committed to bringing to Nintendo Switch; however, since it was announced, no further details have been given. After months of silence, the company clarified that this is not because the project is not still underway, but rather that it is simply not their priority.
In a recent interview with Nerd Report, Arnaud Ragot, director of Steep, stated that bringing the extreme sports game to Nintendo Switch is still in their plans. That being said, they are currently focused on the development of Road to the Olympics, the expansion of the Olympic Games, which was announced at E3 2017.
"Yes, Steep for Nintendo Switch is still in our plans, it's still something that is on our minds and that we are focused on. But right now, our focus is on releasing the expansion, and the Switch version will come after," the creative mentioned.
Considering that Road to the Olympics is set to debut on December 5, 2017, it is most likely that Steep for Nintendo Switch will not see the light until next year. That being said, the aforementioned is nothing more than a mere conjecture, and we will keep you informed for more details.
It is important to reiterate that Ubisoft has not shared many details about Steep for Switch. For this reason, we do not know if it will be some kind of definitive version - like Rayman Legends: Definitive Edition - or if it will be the same base game that arrived last year on the other current generation platforms. While we wait for more information, tell us, are you excited about the arrival of Steep on Switch? What are you most excited about this release? Tell us in the comments.
