The objective of the meeting was to raise one million pesos for the benefit of the Center for Attention to Blind and Visually Impaired People; the 'Tomateros' won the game 4-3.

Thousands of people attended the Tomateros stadium to enjoy a family atmosphere at the great Game with Cause for the benefit of the first Autism Center in Sinaloa, an event led by the Governor of the State, Quirino Ordaz Coppel, and Rosy Fuentes de Ordaz, president of DIF Sinaloa.

The objective is to raise awareness about autism in Sinaloa, and obtain resources for the first Autism Care Center which will also have a specific area for Blind and Visually Impaired individuals.

The first pitch was thrown by the child Carlos Alejandro Martínez, accompanied by Rosy Fuentes de Ordaz.

"The meeting is a way to make them a part of this great project. The center for people with Autism, Blind and Visually Impaired individuals, is aimed at a very important population, and we are very proud that Sinaloa has these types of spaces," said Fuentes Ordaz.

She also mentioned that the construction of the facility will begin next week and is expected to be operational by May of next year.

The sports event between Venados de Mazatlán and Tomateros de Culiacán was carried out with the purpose of fundraising, and it is expected to raise 1 million pesos.

An investment of 133 million pesos will be made for the construction of the center, including the equipment, of which around 82 million pesos will be allocated to the autism spaces and 51 million pesos for the blind spaces.

Both facilities will be located on the same land, located at José María Figueroa SN, Country Courts, Sector 3 Ríos, Culiacán.

This center is projected to provide a two-shift service, morning and afternoon, and will serve 150 children or young people daily.

In Sinaloa, there are more than 30,000 people with autism spectrum disorder, of which at least 7,000 are girls and boys under 14 years old.

At the end of the game, the Tomateros defeated the Venados de Mazatlán in an exciting duel with a score of 4-3, in a game where the result became secondary, overshadowed by the unity of the people from Sinaloa in contributing to this cause.
