A Game to Support Earthquake Victims in Oaxaca
The match between Alebrijes de Oaxaca and Atlante, scheduled for Saturday, September 30th at the Instituto Tecnológico stadium, will be free of charge. This was announced by Santiago San Román, president of the Oaxacan club, as a show of solidarity and support from the team that plays in the Liga de Ascenso Bancomer MX, for those affected by the earthquake that occurred on September 7th.
Furthermore, the team's leader stated that the club's venue has been inspected and authorized by the relevant authorities to hold a public event with all the necessary safety measures.
"I would like to offer my condolences to all our brothers and sisters who suffered irreparable losses due to the recent events," said San Román in a statement, where he invites attendees to bring supplies to support those affected by the disaster.
"We are aware of the social impact that football has and of our role in rebuilding, not only the physical structures but also the spirit and joy that have always characterized us as Oaxacans. That is why admission to the match against Atlante will be free. This is yet another proof of our commitment and love for Oaxaca."
