An estimated 500 Mexicans in Berlin competed in the Marathon of this city and, under the slogan "Fuerza México", dedicated their participation to the victims of the earthquake that severely affected several states of the country on September 19.
Phrases like "México Unido", "México está de pie", and even a minute of silence have been some of the details that our compatriots in the German capital have carried out, even before the race started.
Teams like the Non Violence Project had an initiative where they gathered kilometers for a cause to support the campaign YoXMéxico, which was promoted by Javier Chicharito Hernández and Miguel Layún to raise funds and support the victims.
Mexico Fuerte!!! Que el animo no decaiga!! Apoyemos, ayudemos, todos juntos!! #MexicoFuerte#YoXMexico

Personalities like Paola Longoria, actress Andrea Marti, and Mariana Echeverría are part of Non Violence Project and carried out a dynamic where anyone could buy each kilometer for 100 pesos - and even the entire race - and challenge the competitors with a time to beat. If they achieved the feat, the group committed to donating 500 pantry supplies, construction materials, and $100 for each kilometer covered by the competitors belonging to this organization.
