Tom Brady and Patriots rebound with win over Saints

If Tom Brady and the Patriots were feeling the Super Bowl hangover, it seems a visit to New Orleans cured them.

At 40 years old, Brady achieved an unprecedented feat in his illustrious career, three touchdown passes in the first quarter, and New England defeated the Saints 36-20 on Sunday.

A group of Patriots fans made their way to New Orleans, cheered their quarterback, and left the stadium wanting to celebrate on Bourbon Street.

Brady, who was eager to avenge the defeat suffered by the NFL champions in the season opener, surpassed 300 yards in the first half. He had only achieved this once before.

New England had accumulated 30 points by halftime. Brady threw for 447 yards, completing 30 of 39 passes, none of which were intercepted, at least officially.

The Saints managed to intercept two of Brady's passes, but both plays were invalidated due to penalties.

Rob Gronkowski made a 53-yard reception and escape. He finished the game with six receptions for 116 yards, but left in the second half due to a groin injury.
