Atlas not worried about being at the bottom of the table

Despite being just two points away from the last percentage and a combination of results that could leave them at the bottom of the table, Atlas assure they are not worried, on the contrary, midfielder Javier Salas said that those led by José Guadalupe Cruz aim for the top.

"We have always had that in mind, but we aim high, we think big, always aiming for great things, we cannot think of being at the bottom because then we will be there, we must think of being at the top, fighting for the playoff spots to earn points and get out of there," Salas commented.

He mentioned that there is sadness within the group due to the absence caused by an injury to Ghanaian player Clifford Aboagye, who was his partner in midfield and had become an undisputed starter for the red-and-black team.

"It's sad, it's a very important loss, we know what Clifford brings to the team. We all felt very confident with him on the field, and off the field, he is also a good person, but there are capable people who can replace him. We will do our best to give Clifford a victory as well," he said.

By the way, Clifford showed up this Thursday at the training facilities to begin the rehabilitation work after undergoing surgery on Monday. It is expected that he will return to the field within a four-month period.
