Carlos Vela supports Rafael Marquez amidst accusations

During his presentation with Los Angeles FC, Carlos Vela expressed his support for Rafael Marquez, who was accused by the United States Department of Treasury of having links to drug trafficking.

When asked about the issue, Vela said that it is important to "give him all my support, we are with him in good times and bad times, for us he will always be an idol and a reference of Mexican soccer."

The new reinforcement of the American club was presented this Friday and will play in the Major League Soccer (MLS) starting in January 2018, after this league reached an agreement with Real Sociedad for the signing.

During his presentation with Los Angeles FC, Carlos Vela was questioned about the case in which the Mexican defender Rafael Marquez was involved, accused of having links to drug trafficking. Vela did not elaborate much on this and simply said, "we are with him in good times and bad times."
