Peruvians David Cubas and Rudy Gavidia Shine in Fusion Fighting Championship 28
Peruvians David Cubas and Rudy Gavidia were the standout fighters at the 28th edition of the Fusion Fighting Championship (FFC), held last Wednesday in Lima. They defeated tough Ecuadorian opponents in the main MMA fights of the event.
In the main event of the evening, David Cubas defeated Ecuadorian Bryan Guarnizo by an unmistakable unanimous decision. Masteing his wrestling skills, 'Mister X' prevailed with scores of 30-27, 30-27, and 30-27 from the judges.
Rudy Gavidia, on the other hand, submitted Ecuadorian Emilio Vera in the co-main event. The popular 'Charangero' locked in a triangle choke and forced his opponent to surrender in the first round.
In other notable fights at FFC 28, Peruvian Diego Wilson defeated Ecuadorian Víctor Amaya by unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28).
