Nintendo Japan

announced an exclusive event for their video game ARMS, for the Nintendo Switch, to be held this year in the main cities of Japan. The best players from Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, and Fukuoka will compete to qualify for a final to be held in September of this year.

Reggie Fils-Aime, the president of Nintendo of America, has repeatedly reaffirmed the company's desire to enter the professional competitive field. Games like Splatoon 2, Pokkén Tournament DX, and ARMS are the best candidates from the Japanese giant to enter the eSports.

This was demonstrated with a small tournament of ARMS in Japan, where Kosuke Yabuki, main producer of the video game, made a special appearance to comment on the next update that will add new game modes, more weapons, improvements based on information collected from the servers, and of course, the new character Max Brass, in the middle of this month.

Era lógico que Nintendo realizara algún torneo de su juego de peleas en Japón, ya que en su primera semana vendió más de 100 mil copias, convirtiéndose en un éxito desde su ingreso en ese país.
