Mexican football team prepares for Gold Cup
After having free time since Friday afternoon, the Mexican national football team, which is preparing to compete in the Gold Cup, concentrated this Sunday at the High Performance Center (CAR) of the Mexican Football Federation (FMF).
The team, under the command of Luis Pompilio Páez, assistant to Colombian coach Juan Carlos Osorio, defeated Zacatepec 2-0 in a friendly match on Friday.
The players will train on Monday morning and then travel to Houston, Texas in the afternoon, where they will face Ghana in a preparation match on Wednesday. On Saturday, they will face Paraguay in Seattle.
The Mexican team, aiming to defend the title they won in 2015, is placed in Group C of the Gold Cup, where they will face El Salvador, Jamaica, and Curacao.
