"Papá On Wheels" 2017 Edition
On June 17th, the Plaza Mayor in Torreon will host the 2017 edition of "Papá On Wheels", an exhibition and competition of antique, classic, modified, tuning, quarter mile, and other cars.
It is expected to attract more than 300 vehicles of all types to the concrete platform, in an attempt to set a local record for the highest number of automotive units in one place.
Juan Antonio Ayala, the event organizer, announced the event and was accompanied by David Alcorta from Automotriz 911, Oscar Rodriguez from La Distribuidora Eléctrica Automotriz (DEA), and Rodolfo de la Mora.

At the informative meeting, it was said that the invitation is open to all parents who have classic, antique, quarter mile, jeep, off-road, and other vehicles, to participate in the great exhibition which is also expected to have the participation of Choppers, razors, and quads.
The event is divided into two categories, the exhibition category, where the aforementioned cars can participate, and the competition category, where tuning, euros, and SPL cars will be evaluated by judges from Automotriz 911 IASCA Mexico.
The tuning competition is the sixth national event, and it counts for the competitors in this discipline of motorsports.
During the press conference, it was said that if it becomes a success, they plan to bring the national grand finals to Torreon in November.
Initially, they estimated to have 250 cars at the Plaza Mayor, but due to high demand, the number was increased to 350.
On the 17th, the action starts at 14:00 hours at Plaza Mayor, and at 18:00 hours, there will be musical shows, gifts, surprises, and contests for the dads.
