Golfer Tiger Woods arrested for driving under the influence in Florida
American golfer Tiger Woods was arrested on Monday for driving under the influence of a controlled substance, the police in Florida revealed. The office of the chief of police of Palm Beach County informed on its website that Woods was booked into a county jail around 7:00 am on Monday.
Prison records show that Woods had been arrested by the police in Jupiter and was released shortly before 11:00 am after posting bail.
The 41-year-old golfer has been charged under the statute of Driving under the Influence of a Controlled Substance.
Authorities have not offered more details at the moment. Messages left to a spokesperson for the Jupiter police have not been answered.
