Gorilla Policeman Completes London Marathon for a Noble Cause

A 41-year-old police officer competed in the London Marathon in an unusual way, but for a noble cause.

Tom Harrison dressed up as a gorilla and walked like these primates for 26 miles over six days. Although he started with the other runners on Sunday, April 23, he didn't finish until Saturday, April 29.

Harrison, also known as 'Mr. Gorilla', had the goal of raising funds for an organization that protects gorillas. He successfully raised over 29,000 euros, equivalent to 600,176 Mexican pesos, making his story one of the most heartwarming ones in the competition.

The costume he wore and the way he walked made the marathon take longer and it was an exhausting challenge. However, the support of the spectators, along with his family - both of his children dressed up as gorillas to accompany him across the finish line - provided the necessary motivation to complete the race.
