Sergio Pérez Considers Promising Start to Monaco Grand Prix

Mexican driver Sergio Pérez considered finishing in the top 10 in both sessions on the first day of training for the Monaco Grand Prix as a promising start, but believes there is still room for improvement.

After completing more than 70 laps in the first two practice sessions, Pérez didn't feel completely comfortable and thinks there is potential in the car that has yet to be maximized.

"Finishing in the top 10 in both sessions is a good result, especially considering that I'm not yet completely comfortable with the car. We have a lot of work to do before qualifying, but I'm confident that we can extract more performance and be very strong on Saturday," Pérez said.

However, the large number of laps provided enough data for them to work on Friday and resume on Saturday during qualifying, where they can demonstrate their progress.

"It hasn't been easy to get the tires to work on the right side, and this makes it very difficult in a place like this, where there is no margin for error. We have tonight and tomorrow to analyze all the data and ensure that we can get our setup right for qualifying and the race," he added.

Last year, "Checo" achieved a third place finish on this same track, and now he is on a streak of 15 consecutive races to score points.
