Eintracht Frankfurt loses 4-2 against Mainz
Eintracht Frankfurt, with Mexican midfielder Marco Fabián, suffered a turnaround in the scoreboard, as they went from being up 2-0 to losing 4-2 against Mainz, in the 33rd round of the German League.
The "Eagles" took the lead thanks to goals from Hrgota in the 42nd minute and Haris Seferovic in the 50th minute. However, the visiting debacle was consolidated minutes later at the Opel Arena.
Jhon Córdoba (60), Stefan Bell (62), Yoshinori Mutu (76), and Pablo de Blasis (90+3) were the authors of Mainz's comeback, as they showed the determination to take an important step towards salvation.
With this result, Eintracht stagnated at 41 points and their aspirations to qualify for European cups faded away within the Bundesliga. Therefore, to secure a spot in the European League, they will have to win the German Cup final against Borussia Dortmund.
On the other hand, Mainz reached 37 points and took a step towards salvation, waiting for what happens in the final match next week.
Mexican midfielder Marco Fabián played the entire match and was booked in the 53rd minute. He tried to lead Eintracht's offense, but this time his talent couldn't shine through.
